Visit of the Ripple Effect group from Canada and the District governor.

We recently had the visit of our friends from the Ripple Effects Group from Canada and the District Governor, Warren Thompson. We had our meeting in one of the hotels in Panajachel and had the opportunity to know their story, projects and talked about the educational problems in Guatemala. We also talked about future collaborations about bringing more support to the local public schools in our area. We were surprised to know that they have benefited more than 100 public schools in different parts of Guatemala. Most of these projects have been directly for construction and remodeling.

We had the joy of accompanying them to one of their most recent projects in partnership with the Vista Hermosa Rotary Club of Guatemala City, at the public school of Panabaj in Santiago Atitlán, where 4 new classrooms and their respective bathrooms will be built. For many years the school has been asking for support for the construction of its classrooms and it was moving to see the faces of the children when they learned that they will have new classrooms where they can receive a decent education. As a thank you, the children, teachers and parents prepared different presentations for them.
